Distant LandsSo, a new country and a new studio. I’ve been living in Berlin for the last few months and it’s been a blast. Despite the dismal summer weather, I’ve loved pretty much everything about it, in particular the abundance of ping pong tables and the chilli-cheeseburgers. It’s also allowed me to set up studio with my illustrator sister, Heather Gatley, and it’s been working out a treat. Definitely beats working in solitude, and as you can see from the photo above, it’s a lovely place to create. Inevitably, work was put a little on the back burner for a while as I familiarised myself with my new surroundings. Hence the lack of activity here (for which I apologise)… But fear not! I’m now back in the saddle and exciting new projects are underway, hopefully of which I can share with you soon! Another very exciting development over the last couple of months has been joining the lovely folk at Agent Pekka, who now represent me in Northern Europe. Pekka are a Finnish agency, representing a broad range of incredible illustrators, so to be asked by them to be on the agency is both brilliant and scary. I met up with them in Helsinki the other day and they made me feel very welcome, so I look forward to working with them on some exciting projects in the future!
